Scalp vs. wig: we say "scalp" rather than "wig" because our product includes the hair (rooted into a soft scalp) and the hard dome that screws to the head — unlike a plain wig cap that just slips over the top.

How to change your Blythe doll's scalp

1. Gather supplies: a Phillips screwdriver (or a snappy hair clip) and a soft cloth to protect the face.
2. Unscrew the head plate: remove the three screws on the back — two larger at the bottom, one smaller at the top above the spring.
3. Pop open the head: lay the doll on the cloth and gently squeeze her ears together to open the head.
4. Remove the old scalp: loosen its screw and lift it off.
5. Attach the new scalp: seat it on the faceplate and screw it in place.
6. Close up: screw the head plate back on, without over-tightening or pulling the spring.
7. Enjoy her new look!
