We've been super busy at TIB Headquarters. One of the most exciting developments is that the Blythe quilt is finished! Woo hoo! My good friend George/Modman took on the herculean task of assembling the 100 8"x8" panels into 2 mega-panels. It's OUTRAGEOUS!! Please stay tuned to find out where you can see it in person. It's such an amazing piece of art and the most gorgeous tribute to our girl.

You all know that Blythe has a long list of celebrity friends, right? Here she is with her good pals Donnie Wahlberg and Stephanie!! Don't you love her laissez faire attitude? And be sure to peep her NKOTB tee shirt. Brilliant! Thanks to Stephanie for sending this!
At BlytheCon Atlanta back in October Jessica and her Amelia Earhart Blythe won the costume competition, first prize being a doll photoshoot with yours truly. Amelia flew first class to NYC and she and I had a wonderful time bopping around the city. Here are a few shots from our adventure. Fun!

I'm thrilled to announce that after the raging success of Atlanta's BlytheCon there are TWO new offshoots planned in the near future. The first is BlytheCon UK which will be held on Saturday, Oct 2nd 2010 at The Jam Factory in Oxford. The Jam Factory is an arts centre housed in a beautiful old Victorian building, across the street from the Oxford train station. The official website is now under construction and an announcement will be made soon regarding when tickets will go on sale. For now, you can check out the BlytheCon UK flickr group here. All proceeds from the event will be going to The Little Princess Trust.
Next up is BlytheCon Portland, slated for Monday, June 20, 2011 @ Venue Pearl which is located at 323 NW 13th Avenue in Portland. The committee is being headed up by Maggie (of Parasol Doll), Kyle (of Button Arcade), and Julie (of House of Pinku). An information page has been set up here. Keep your eye on this page as I'll be adding more links to both Cons as the information becomes available. I hope to attend both events and am looking forward to meeting as many as you as possible!!

I'm a HUGE fan of Haute Doll, a doll-centric magazine that's been around for quite some time. The past few issues have had amazing stories about Blythe, and the current one is no exception! Longtime Blythe fan and friend Iveta wrote a wonderful eight-page account of BlytheCon Atlanta, including many pages of photos. You've gotta see it!!

Last month HD featured an interview with Diem Chau and Sarah Lanzillotta with gorgeous photos by Ernesto Pardo-Campos. The article was entitled 'Blythe Spirits' and it's chock-full of information. HD will be featuring lots more on Blythe in the upcoming issues so keep your eyes peeled! In the next week or so I'll have issues of Haute Doll in my shop, so if you're hoping to add some of these keepsake editions to your bookshelf, fear not!

And, speaking of my shop, I've had some really awesome additions these past few weeks. Be sure to stop by and see what's shakin'!! I've added a new feature called 'Deal of the Day,' which features a handful of items that go on super sale for a 24-hour period. Be sure to check back each day to see what's listed. The DOTD stuff goes fast!

Is this like the RADDEST Blythe tattoo you've ever seen? I squeaked out loud when I saw this one! BIG thanks go out to Evette for sharing her amazing ink with us!! I'm awestruck!
And on a personal note....two weeks ago Carpenter, my sweet little boy turned FIVE!! Happy birthday little peanut. I love you!!

Big kiss to all,
gina
