It was a very long time ago that I had purchased my first Blythe doll 2nd hand from a flea market here in Wichita, KS. I was in my early 20’s when I purchased her. She was dressed in her original outfit that she worn when produced by Kenner.A yellow kaftan,and wild dark hair.. I loved her so much. She was safe after I had my house fire. About 10 years after I purchased her..My mother and I purchased a house together
At one point we where at a time,when funds where low,and I sold her on ebay to make ends meet. This was during the era when the “Blythe doll” was getting her 2nd chance in the doll world and many wanted to get their hands on an original Kenner “Blythe doll”. I had person purchase her all the way from China.Considering when I purchased her from the flea market years back for $20s…I did make a good profit of a 100 % over. Which was able to take care of bills.. . I was able to help out but now being 55yrs old. There was and still is a big whole in my heart that never seems to fade… so hopefully in the near future I will be able to purchase one for myself…
